Here’s a first look at the highly anticipated Amazon Original anthology series Solos, starring Uzo Aduba, Anthony Mackie and Morgan Freeman out later this month.

The trailer for the new series, which launches on 21 May, is tantalizingly short on information and keeps viewers guessing on what they can expect from the series.

What we do see is the star-studded cast shown in various locations, seemingly alone and trying to make a connection. In the two-minute trailer Emmy Award winning actress Uzo Adubo is shown looking relaxed and sipping wine while reading as she reclines on a sofa surrounded by woodland and chirping birds, Anthony Mackie appears to be talking to a doppelganger, while Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman is seated on a sandy beach.

The strong cast also includes Nicole Beharie, Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway, Constance Wu and Dan Stevens.

The seven-part anthology is described as a thought-provoking exploration of the human spirit. This is shown through the lens of seven character-driven stories, showing how “our present and future and illuminates that even during our most isolated moments we are all connected through the human experience.”

The series will launch on 21 May exclusively on Prime Video in the UK, United States, Australia, Canada, Ireland, India and New Zealand.
