The latest brand to join the ranks of directories for Afro-Caribbean hair is TBHB (The Black Hair Book), a one stop shop for browsing and booking the right hair salon for your hair needs.
The easy-to-use online platform, launched in July 2017, aims to help users make informed decisions about where they can go to get their hair styled locally. An excellent factor that can help make up your mind is the rating left by previous users!
Founder, Josephine Otuagomah, is encouraging hair salon owners, to register on the directory. There is a free option, which offers a basic listing and a premium option at £25 per month that allows unlimited photos of your work, video and much more, helping you to attract thousands of hair customers to your business.
She is clear that the site is not only a directory, but rather a safe space to discuss, share and be educated about our hair. She said: “TBHB is also an educational platform to promote awareness and enlighten readers on how to best take care of their hair. As black people, our stories have been told via word of mouth for too long! Let’s share our knowledge online. Look out for Guest contributors, interviews from beauty and hair care experts, empowering stories and much more.”

So glad I found this website. My sister has been looking for a hair website where she can get lots of useful information for her hair type. I have to definitely let her know about this!
Glad you like it! Spread the word x
