With the Easter holidays just around the corner, we bring you our favourite last-minute family holiday destinations for you to consider if you’re looking forward to spending some quality time with the kids during the two-week school break.
Lakeside living for all ages at Evian Resort
Where? Evian Resort, France
Why go? Perched along the shore of Lake Geneva, Evian Resort is at the heart of celebrated spa town Evian-les-Bains which has played host to a glittering list of clientele spanning royalty, celebrities and notables over the course of two centuries. Comprising two hotels – Hotel Royal and Hotel Ermitage – it caters to families with children of all ages with a designated ‘Kid’s Resort’ from 4 months to 16 years, with five bespoke programmes to cater for each age group. The ‘Baby Resort’ is exclusively for the littlest guests aged 4 to 36 months and comes complete with a play area, bottle preparation room, changing room and nap room whilst childcare professionals craft thoughtful play to while away the day. Children and teens up to 16 can take advantage of a host of activities on offer from cookery classes, to arts and crafts to even a ski sojourn into the mountains. Depending on their age, the end of their stay will culminate in a performance for parents and guardians to enjoy.
Children get extra special treatment all year long – accommodation is free of charge for children up to 13 years inclusive (when they share their parents’ room – subject to room category). A 50% discount on the applicable rate is granted for those who prefer a separate room, whilst breakfast is also free of charge.
Children aged 3 – 16 years enjoy free access to the Kid’s Resort every day from 9am to 6pm. Excursions are extra. Extra evening activities are available during French school holidays. Additional costs apply for access to the Baby Resort.
