What could be better than holidaying in one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean? How about up close and personal access to a music festival headlined by Patti Labelle, Ms Lauryn Hill and Jamaican dancehall artist, Spice?
The annual St. Kitts Music Festival is taking place between 27 June to 1 July 2018 and no doubt visitors to the island are in for a treat.
Known for its intoxicating natural beauty, sunny skies, warm waters, and sandy beaches, St. Kitts is one of the most seductive spots in the Caribbean. Located in the northern Leeward Islands, it is full of cultural heritage and rich history.
One of the biggest events in the island’s calendar is the St. Kitts Music Festival, which is now in its 22nd year. Attracting both locals and visitors alike, it features a wide range of musical styles including R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Gospel and Contemporary music. Past artists who have graced the stage include John Legend, Lionel Richie, Jason Derulo, Trey Songz, T-Pain, Shaggy, Kelly Rowland, Toni Braxton and many more.
This year, Grammy award winning singer, Patti LaBelle, multi-platinum artist Ms. Lauryn Hill, and offering something a little different, Spice, a Jamaican dancehall recording artist are leading the pack.
Mr. Lindsay F.P. Grant. Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Commerce, said:
“I am extremely pleased to have such popular artists join the roster for the 2018 St. Kitts Music Festival.
“This event has become well-known for featuring top internationally known acts along with local talent and for showcasing broad range of musical styles. It has proven to be a successful formula and one we are therefore continuing to follow.”
