This awards season there was only one contender for the “Best Curated Ear” gong in our opinion and that was the talented actress, singer and song writer Cynthia Erivo.
Her performance as Celie in the Broadway revival of The Colour Purple won her a Tony Award in 2016 for Best Actress. More recently she depicted abolitionist Harriet Tubman in the 2019 big screen biopic of the same name in which she earned nominations for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award. However, alongside these professional plaudits, she has been wowing on red carpets with her quirky and vibrant fashion choices, always accessorised with stacks of gorgeous statement jewellery.
We know that the right placement of accessories can totally transform an outfit, taking it from zero to a 100 real quick (in a good way) and the cool trend of stacking your earrings in particular are a simple way of achieving that ’wow’ factor relatively easily.
In this article, we show you 5 ways on how to stack your earrings like a pro and where to shop the multi-earring look so fabulously worn by Cynthia.
Space it out!
To get that chic, layered earring stack you see your favourite influencers and stars rocking so effortlessly, make sure the earrings you are choosing sit comfortably on the ear without obstructing each other or looking too busy. Best to go for the ‘less is more’ look if in doubt.
