The countdown to the largest annual African fashion event in Europe has begun. Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) will return for its 9th season during 9-10 August 2019 at the swanky venue, Freemasons’ Hall in London.
This will be its third year at the prestigious Freemasons’ Hall, a fitting site for two days of catwalk shows in the beautiful Grand Temple venue space. Visitors can look forward to two days of catwalk shows and deluxe shopping in the themed exhibition hall, with more than 100 African designers showcasing their vibrant and colourful exhibitions.
Expect to see designer exhibitions offering ‘straight off the catwalk’ designer bargains, jewellery, accessories and footwear.
African-inspired designs are dominating the international fashion scene like never before and now is the time to celebrate this year’s theme #AfroLuxe, illustrated in the images and stunning promo video below from designers: Vanessa Gounden, SOBOYE, BwanaWilly, Lesley De Freitas and JesuSegun London.
Models: Howard Ejegi, Alisha Safo, Charli Fletcher, Rebecca Nemere and Dominic Baderin
Africa Fashion Week London continues to grow from strength to strength since it was founded in 2011 by Ronke Ademiluyi. With a core team of experienced fashion industry experts and business professionals, AFWL is now an established platform for supporting African designers while building a sustainable business that is globally recognised and promotes social, environmental and economic change in Africa.
This is a franchise that we support and applaud. We are pleased to be supporting AFWL again as media partners and look forward to seeing you there.
