They don’t call her the boss for nothing! Ms Diana Ross owned the stage at the 2017 American Music Award’s after being honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
In a night that focused on the achievements of many artists, it was Diana Ross who stole the show and who better than to present her with the Lifetime Achievement Award than the singer’s family!
Of course, her daughter, actress Tracee Ellis Ross did a killer job hosting the award show, but it was her son Evan Ross that helped set the scene with a sentimental introduction to his mother’s achievements.
While a montage appeared showcasing the wonderful accomplishments made by the singer, it was Ross’ performance that made the night.

Appearing graciously and effortlessly, the singer strutted her way onto the stage in an elegant purple dress performing a range of hits such as her 1980 single, “I’m Coming Out”, “Take Me Higher”, “Ease on Down the Road”.
Ending the medley with “Ain’t No Mountain High”, the singer was accompanied on stage by her grandchildren who showed off their own jazzy moves and blessed the night with a heart-warming speech: “This is all about love, all about love. This says it all, this my family and I’m sending love out there to all of you, each and every one of you, of our global family and I really, really, love being here and I feel so humbled by this. I love you so very much.”
