Dive into Barbadian cuisine and culture right here in the UK! London welcomes a “Taste Of Barbados”, an authentic showcase for the stunning island taking place on South Molton Street between Friday 5 to Sunday 7 May. Each year, Barbados hosts two popular festivals; the Crop Over Festival in summertime and the world-famous Food and Rum Festival in November. Visitors to A Taste of Barbados will get a flavour of both popular Caribbean events and much more. Brought to you by Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc, the three-day festival will celebrate life and happiness through all things Bajan, including cuisine, music, art, culture and of course, rum! “Our island is a treasure trove of wonderful and very diverse events and activities which cater to all ages. Taste of Barbados is a special event designed to not only showcase our local culture and gastronomy but also to give potential UK visitors an insight into some of our exciting upcoming events on the island.” - Cheryl Carter, UK Director of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. A selection of Barbados’ world-class chefs, including Michelin trained Jason Howard and Anthony Cumberbatch, will be catering the event, preparing delicious traditional Bajan dishes to delight your taste buds. Visitors will be able to experience rum and mixology classes hosted by Global Rum Ambassador, Ian Burrell. Some of Barbados’ hottest acts are also set to take to the stage, including Arturo Tappin & Band and Cool Breeze DJ. Don’t miss out on a great selection of activities, including opportunities to win a holiday to Barbados with many other daily competitions.
