12 nights of food and film with London Evening Standard Food MonthFurther details have emerged of the biggest food event in the capital with the announcement of Night Market, a mouth-watering schedule of events and pop-up street food stalls taking place for 12 evenings this June at Perks Field, Kensington, as part of the London Evening Standard Food Month.

From 7-18 June, guests of the Night Market will have access to 50 diverse and exciting food stalls from London’s favourite restaurants, food trucks and street food vendors. They will be joined by DJs, entertainers and even an outdoor cinema.

12 nights of food and film with London Evening Standard Food MonthThe vendors – all personally curated by ES magazine’s Grace Dent and fellow critic, Tom Parker-Bowles – range from high-end eateries including Fortnum & Mason and Martin Morales’ Cerviche to street food pioneers, such as Smokestak and the ever- popular Patty & Bun, and have been selected to offer visitors a culinary journey across the capital’s food map.

12 nights of food and film with London Evening Standard Food MonthGrace Dent says:

Night Market is a genuinely different London experience: an extraordinary feast of the senses. There will be food from all over the planet, some huge names, some small unique names we want you to discover, all reflecting London’s diversity and its position as an unparalleled food destination.

“There will be World Class cocktails, music and art in a beautiful and intriguing setting. It’s a place to gather with friends and family for a summer’s night of feasting and fun.”

The outdoor cinema will surely be a highlight. Visitors will be able to kick back under the summer sky at Westfield Open Air Cinema, and watch recent blockbuster Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Multi Oscar-winning La La Land, newest kids’ obsession Moana and the beautifully reimagined The Jungle Book.

12 nights of food and film with London Evening Standard Food MonthTickets for the Night Market are on sale at www.londonfoodmonth.co.uk. They cost £15 for adults and £8 for children, with family passes available for £35 and will be on sale from April 19. Children under five get in for free and will be able to enjoy a designated children’s area as well as kids’ films at Westfield’s outdoor cinema. A donation of £1 for every ticket sold will be made to The Felix Project, a charity that works with food suppliers and charities to reduce food waste and poverty.
