The high-fashion MUA and make-up brand DHM By Isang, has revealed their Sparkle Spring/Summer 2018 look book for this year. From the minimalist ‘Powder’ look, and the bright and bold ‘Ibibio’ look, they’re all inspired by Isang’s native Akwa Ibom state in Nigeria.

We got to know more about the brand and the inspiration behind the latest look book.

Bold is still beautiful.’ Says Isang Obot. “This lookbook means a lot to me, as it’s my third one since launching Divine House of Makeup By Isang. I had looked online for looks that were bold for inspiration, and wanted to promote my new mink lashes collection, JPL Lashes by DHM, within the shoot also. I especially wanted the lipsticks used to portray a contrast with the models’ skin tone and again emphasize the sparkle and summer theme.”

About Isang

Makeup artist, Sciences graduate and entrepreneur, Isang Obot, based in West-London, was always obsessed with cosmetics and makeup application. Her love for make-up has driven her to make a brand and launch it to the rest of the world in a debut photoshoot and launch of Divine House of Make-up (DHM) by Isang. She specializes in high-fashion and editorial looks and vibrant, artistic colour combinations.

Sparkle

The creative new brand is focussed on artistry and promoting the beauty of women of colour and making it the sole purpose of the looks. Floral and feminine vibes that give the haute couture element are mixed with wearable and adaptable colours into your daily spring and summer looks.

Bright red lips, berry tones and deep plums are paired with metallic and copper eyeshadows to give a contrast in both texture as well as colours. The skin is mostly given a dewy, highlighted look that has been super on trend from 2017 and continues into this year. The looks are ideal for weddings, parties and festivals.
