The increasing influence of the millennial Muslim demographic is bringing on a new age of fashion in the industry and we’re loving it!
Modest fashion is growing and taking its place on the world fashion stage with fashion designers, high street brands and department stores embracing the trend of more conservative and modest wear for women. Debenhams is the latest brand to support the thriving industry, with the announcement of a new global partnership with leading modest fashion brand Aab.
Since its launch in 2007, Aab has gained global recognition for creating original pieces, designed by its own in-house designers. Nazmin Alim, founder and creative director at Aab, said:
“The partnership with Debenhams opens up some very exciting opportunities for us. Debenhams is a quintessentially British department store and among the few department store brands with a truly global reach.”
The first collections offering a range of kimonos, scarves and abayas, will launch in Debenhams in May, before rolling out across 14 international stores.
