Who run the world? Beyoncé. The diva and all round mogul, whose hits always rank at the top of the charts, appears to be the leader in social media too, with her influence worth millions.

According to Time Magazine and a new report about social media reach by platform D’Marie Analytics, Queen Bey is also the most valuable celebrity on social media.

A single post by the Lemonade singer racks in more than $1 million in advertising value, even though Beyoncé ranks as the 22nd most followed celebrity online, after Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, and even Selena Gomez who is currently the most followed person on Instagram.

She arguably has the most loyal fans, don’t mess with the ‘Beyhive’ and her propensity for dropping surprise bombs on her fans – unexpectedly releasing her album Lemonade and the ways she announces her pregnancies to the world.

But what is the secret behind the insane value of her social media posts?

Frank Spadafora, chief executive of D’Marie, revealed to Moneyish, that it’s quality over quantity.

“Her limited release of exclusive, curated content…causes such frenzy from her audience. These days, less really is more.”

Beyoncé didn’t become a global brand overnight, but reached her elevated status through numerous ventures; her media entertainment powerhouse, Parkwood Entertainment, as well as her athletic leisure collection, Ivy Park.

The feminist also invests in many other companies, such as Tidal, owned by rapper husband Jay-Z, WTRMLN WTR and more, making her not only musical royalty but one of the most influential business women too.
