The wait is almost over! Widely regarded as the largest gathering of powerful and inspirational women of diverse background and ethnicity, the popular Divas of Colour annual event is almost here, and it promises to be even bigger and better than ever before.

Taking place on Saturday 18 March 2017, at The KIA Oval (Surrey County Cricket Club) in  London, it’s the perfect way to acknowledge Women’s History Month. An opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women from different professions and walks of life, and from every corner of the world.

MelanMag.com: Divas of Colour 2017: celebrating sisterhoodDivas of Colour founder, Faustina Anyanwu, has nurtured the Divas of Colour platform and overseen its growth over the last four years into the global event that it is today, respected and attended by dignitaries, ambassadors, celebrities and women of substance. This year, more than one thousand guests are expected to attend.

Faustina says:

“I’m thrilled to welcome women of all ages
and experience once again to our international festival.

“This year, our focus is on empowering women to achieve the very best physical and mental health, world-class fashion and the shared interest of overall wellness and positive self-esteem.”

There’s something for everyone. Here are three highlights of the event that you don’t want to miss.

The Conference: ‘Slay in Health’ – 12 to 2pm
The Conference element of Divas of Colour 2017 will focus on raising awareness of gynaecological cancers, in loving memory of one of the event’s biggest supporters and an original partner, Dr Nkem Ezeilo, who passed away recently from breast cancer.

The aim is to empower as many women as possible to take control of their own health, open up about rarely discussed topics and how best to cope with them and, most importantly, when to know it’s time to seek help from relevant people and organisations.

The Fashion Show – 2 to 6pm
